It's Been a While

Wow time has flown by! I was thinking about this Blog the other day and I realized that I hadn’t been on here in AGES! So I thought I would write a little something up to give myself an update.

Christmas is two days away and I’m excited to spend time with my family and play with all my nephew’s toys. I am also looking forward to the three day weekend! If you are making your way via HPPC than I hope everyone has been participating in the Christmas activities.  The staff has been working hard to have different events.

Since my last blog my staff titled changed to Creative Director over at HPPC. I am really excited to be taking on the responsibilities of this position and let’s be honest I get to occasionally tell people what to do! I love how every week someone new discovers HPPC and is in awe of how great it is. I do think we should have people discovering it new every day!

There are a lot of great things in the works for the first quarter of the year and I hope everyone keeps dropping by, listening to podcasts, reviewing and spamming!

2012 the year of the Podcast!

I’ve been bad

So I haven’t updated, I’ve thought about it but I haven’t. I’ve a bunch of Life going on, actually good things. Celebrated by 3rd wedding anniversary a couple of days ago and had made a whole weekend out of it. Had such a great time at the local Renaissance Festival which is also where we got married! I really do think if I was independently wealthy I would go and tryout to act at the Fair, it such a fantastic time! Maybe one day my little dream will come true and I’ll be able to such a crazy thing!
HPPC is going well all the Halloween events are coming together nicely. One of the things we are striving for at HPPC is a real sense of family and belonging. The staff has been working very hard to come up with some fun activities to promote such values. There are a few more things up our sleeves so PLEASE makes sure to keep your eyes out for more Spooktacular Pooooodcast Halloween activities! Of course I know there are some out there who haven’t even checked out the Spooktacular Pooooodcast Halloween which makes me sad and I don’t like to be sad.
I really hope all of our HPFF friends are coming and checking out HPPC and are going to participate in all the Halloween craziness that is going on.  For those of you who are reading this PLEASAE make sure to talk about HPPC to all your Harry Potter loving friends because as you know we have something for everyone!

*Does not think anyone is reading this*

Yesterday I began the very tedious task of fixing all the broken links on HPPC RSS feed. For those that do not know the HPPC forums crashed and burned during a server move which resulted in broken links for podcast reviews. I am not even half way done but I am please I was able to get accomplished what I did last night with the help of some other staffers.
HPPC Halloween events continue to be planned behind the scenes and I do think things are moving along nicely. I really hope all the members participate in the activities we are planning. Nothing near as large as anything HPFF does, because let’s be honest we have NO WHERE near the membership. However everyone can help change that by making sure to tell everyone you know to join, hang out and have some fun.
The S.E.E.S. SHEEP are continuing their S.P.A. plans and anyone is welcome to join and spread the word. I suppose I will have to explain S.E.E.S. and S.P.A. in the blog eventually. Maybe that would be a good reason to check back. Then such slogans as: S.E.E.S. the Day Support the Movement and I Love the S.P.A. will make sense to you. I can promise they are somewhat humorous if you find silly crazy things funny. Mostly S.E.E.S. and S.P.A. are two things I drummed up (no pun intended) to increase membership and awareness of HPPC to HPFF members, which is where 99% of HPPC membership originates from.  So yep more to come I promise!
Real World work has the main system I work in crashed in my main office since yesterday and it isn’t due to be fixed until Monday morning. Luckily I was in office #2 today and was able to work on items. I guess I will be doing a lot of filing and desk organizing tomorrow and to be honest it needs done. There are also a few clients I need to track down and get them to report their jobs. My job is to help people get jobs and sometimes those people that get jobs don’t like to tell me for some unknown reason. All this accomplishes is frushtration because then I have to track them down and that is not much fun.

Sheep Herder?

Well I have a blog now a real one. Since others seem to enojy deleting my other stuff I just figured 'hey I can do this somewhere else.'

First off I am not a REAL sheep herder so I am sorry if you have come here looking for some really interesting stories about lambs, rams and ewes. I fell into the sheep thing because it was a desperate attempt for some 'look at me time' and what do you I think it worked. I am really a late 20's not for profit worker who happens to have a weird and sometimes unhealthy obsession with Harry Potter.

Said obsession turned to the internet which let me to HPFF (harrypotterfanfiction.com) which then lead me to HPPC (harrypotterpodcast.com) which lead to sheep and a staff position on said HPPC. A staff position on a website is like that unpaid college internship you took for experience except it is much longer than a semester and you get to pick what you do (most of the time). Sometimes I feel more like it's a second job minus the paycheck. Though members pay me in hugs sometimes which just makes me uncomfortable and is a whole other topic.

I am not sure what type of direction I want to go with this thing but I think a good mix of my Harry Potter stuff, some advice from my RL (real life) job mixed in with whatever else I want. Why? Because I can do whatever I want and if no one reads this it shall serve for some good travels down memory lane in the future. However I can promise little pictures of sheep because after all I am a sheep herder.
